Frequently asked questions
What does the 10-year guarantee actually cover?
It covers your installation and the way it's fitted. If something isn't right with the work we've done, you ring us and we put it right. You deal with James or Donna directly, not a call centre. It applies to every installation as standard, never as an extra you pay for.
What happens to my guarantee if the business closes?
It's a fair worry, because plenty of people hold a guarantee from a company that's since folded. We're a family-run firm based in Lower Wortley with 20+ years in the trade, and James lives locally, so we're not going anywhere. On top of that, your CERTASS registration is held independently of us and proves the work met Building Regulations regardless.
Is CERTASS the same as FENSA?
Yes, they're equivalent. CERTASS is a government-authorised competent-person scheme. We register each installation and self-certify it to Building Regulations, so there's no separate council application needed and you get the certificate for your records. It's the proof a buyer's solicitor will ask for when you sell.
Will you make a mess of my house?
Fitting is messy work, but clearing up is our job, not yours. We protect your floors, take the old frames and all the offcuts away, and hoover up before we leave. We treat your home the way we'd want ours treated.
Do I deal with James directly or a salesperson?
You deal with James, the owner — not a salesperson. He'll come and have a proper look and give you an honest quote, and our own skilled team fits the job on site. Donna looks after quotes and bookings in the office, so you'll always get a straight answer from a real person. There's no showroom salesman and no pressure. Call James on 07967 667535.
