Who we are

Wortley Windows & Doors Limited (registered company 13377953) is the controller of the information you send us. We're based at 41 Kirkdale Terrace, Leeds LS12 6BA, and you can reach us at [email protected] or on 07889 242453.

What the forms collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, your phone number and, if you give it, your email address. Depending on the form, we also collect your postcode, the type of work you're after, and anything you type in the message box. The longer form asks about your property type and when you're hoping to get it done; those answers are kept with your message.

We also record the time you sent it, and a scrambled one-way version of your internet address. We can't turn that back into your address – it exists only to stop the form being hammered by automated spam.

Why we collect it

To reply to you about the job you've asked about – to call or email you back, arrange a time to come and measure up, and send you a quote. We don't sell it, we don't share it with anyone for marketing, and we don't send you a newsletter you didn't ask for.

Where it's kept, and who sees it

Your enquiry is saved to our own lead store, a database hosted on Cloudflare's network, the moment it's received. The team is then notified so somebody picks it up: today that's an instant message to us, and by email once we've finished setting that up. Nobody outside the business is notified.

The door designer

The door designer on our design page is our supplier's tool, not ours. It runs on their website, windowsoftware.co.uk, inside a frame on our page. It does not load at all until you click to start it, so if you never open it, nothing of theirs runs and nothing of theirs is set.

Once you do open it, you are using their software and their privacy policy applies to what happens inside it. It sets its own cookies and loads its own fonts and scripts from their servers. We cannot see what you design in it and we do not receive anything from it.

That last point matters, so we will be plain about it. The designer has a send step of its own, and it does not reach us. It goes to the account that runs the software. If you want a price from us, use our form on that page instead. That one comes to us and is covered by this policy.

Cookies

This site doesn't set advertising cookies and doesn't track you around the internet.

Our own pages load no third-party scripts. The one exception is the door designer described above, and it only loads if you click to start it. Nothing third-party runs on this site unless you ask for it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we may need them – to do the work, to honour the guarantee on it, and to answer questions about a job afterwards. If you'd like yours deleted, ask us and we'll do it.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Email [email protected] or ring 07889 242453 and we'll sort it. You don't need a special form of words.

If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
