Local to Leeds, run from Lower Wortley
Wortley Windows & Doors is a family-run installer based in Lower Wortley, LS12. We’re not a showroom chain with a sales team. James owns the business and works on site alongside the team. Donna runs the office and sorts your quote. That’s the whole operation, and it’s why the work stays consistent from one job to the next.
Being local matters more than it sounds. We know the housing round here, from the Victorian terraces to the stone-built semis and the post-war estates. We know which windows suit which property and where the awkward bits usually are before we’ve even measured up. And because we’re a short drive from most of Leeds, if you ever need us back, we come back.

The areas we cover
We work right across Leeds. These are the suburbs we cover most, each with its own page so you can see how we approach the housing in your part of the city.
- Windows & doors in Pudsey — a short hop from Wortley. Lots of terraces and semis here, and plenty of homeowners swapping tired double glazing for something that finally keeps the draughts out.
- Windows & doors in Bramley — right next door to us, with rows of Victorian terraces. Older properties need a careful hand and the right frames, and that’s exactly the kind of work James enjoys.
- Windows & doors in Morley — a busy residential patch of semis and terraces south of the city. A popular spot for full-house window replacements and new composite front doors.
- Windows & doors in Horsforth — larger semis and detached homes, where bay windows and bi-fold doors come up a lot. Bigger projects, fitted to the same standard as the small ones.
- Windows & doors in Armley — another neighbour to Wortley, with a real mix of housing from terraces to back-to-backs. We’re often round this way, so we’re quick to get to you.
- Windows & doors in Farsley — a growing village with plenty of stone-built properties that suit the right windows beautifully. We’ll match the style and fit it properly.
We also cover Kirkstall, Stanningley, Calverley and the rest of west Leeds. If your area isn’t listed, give us a ring on 07967 667535 and ask — chances are we’re already nearby.
What we fit, wherever you are
The service is the same in every postcode we cover. We supply and fit uPVC windows, composite doors, bay windows and bi-fold doors. Over half the homes in LS12 sit at an EPC rating of D or below, and the rest of Leeds isn’t far off, so a lot of what we do is helping older houses feel warmer and quieter without losing their character.
Composite doors are the most popular choice across the UK door market by value, and we fit a lot of them locally — they look the part and they’re solid. As a rough guide, not a quote, a uPVC window runs around £900 to £1,500 supplied and fitted, a composite door around £1,500 to £2,500, and a full house of 8 to 10 windows on a three-bed semi somewhere between £5,000 and £12,000. Prices vary with the property, so the only honest figure is one James gives you after a proper look.
Why a local installer is worth it
When the same person quotes, fits and stands behind the work, there’s nobody to pass the buck to. James is on site for every installation, so the standard doesn’t drop because a job’s a few miles further out. Every install is CERTASS registered to Building Regulations, which means no separate council application to chase, and it’s all backed by our 10-year guarantee.
If the cost is the sticking point, you can spread the cost with finance. Donna will talk you through the options when you get in touch.
